Rev. Frederick Crawford is a native of the Bronx, NY. He is the oldest of four children born to the late Rev. Dr. Fletcher and Mother Arnetta Crawford. Rev. Crawford is happily married to Lady Antoinette Crawford; they share four children, Lamont, Hezekiah, Shapri, Chole, and two grandchildren, Harper and Jeremiah. Pastor Crawford was installed as the Senior Pastor of UGMBC in August 2006, where he continues a family legacy as the third generation of pastors of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. His father, the late Rev. Dr. Fletcher Crawford, served for fifty years, and his grandfather, the late Rev. Jeremiah Crawford, was the organizer. Before his leadership at UGMBC, Rev. Frederick Crawford pastored First Calvary Baptist Church in Harlem, NY, for twenty years. Pastor Crawford graduated from Eastern Mennonite College and Seminary, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Minor in Religious Studies. He continued his studies at Alliance Theological Seminary and Unification where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Theology from American International Theological Seminary. Pastor Crawford is also a Certified High Performance Coach.

Pastor Crawford is a spiritual man on a mission for God. Though difficult at times, Rev. Crawford has mentored, counseled, and ministered to numerous individuals. His Sunday morning messages are broadcasted weekly on ugmbc-ny.org, Facebook, and YouTube on Sunday mornings at 10 am. UGMBC’s services are viewed in over 40 states and 4 countries by roughly 6,000 followers.

Under the leadership of Pastor Crawford, UGMBC has devised numerous programs to assist families within the
community.

  • Feed the Community (provided 1500 plus families with one week’s worth of food for a family of 4)
  • UGMBC Weekly Food Pantry (serving 425 families weekly)
  • The Back to School Health and Community Awareness Fair (provided school supplies and book bags for
    over 500 children)
  • Sarah Coleman Empowering Senior Program (35 seniors come out weekly for fun, food, and fellowship)
  • Annual Sneaker Give-AWAY (200+ children between the ages of 5-15 receive a new pair of sneakers)
  • Annual Share The Warmth Coat Giveaway (300 coats and accessories given to community members)
  • Wellness Program – A partnership with Choose Healthy Life: A holistic approach to caring for the needs
    of the believer and non-believer.
