Are You Ready to Accept Jesus Into Your Life?
So how, exactly, do we accept Jesus in our life? The answer is that we must believe in him. This means placing confidence in the person of Christ, knowing that his death on calvary’s cross paid for all our sins. This is a total surrender to Jesus as the only one who can forgive our sins, thereby bridging the gap between us and the father. And when we receive Jesus as savior, we immediately become children of the king.
Believers must also follow Christ’s ways. Allowing Jesus to live out his lordship through our life means yielding our will and desires to his. Also, Christians are to worship him. We should be so overwhelmed by his presence that our hearts and lips overflow with adoration.
One last thing, of course, is that we’re to share the truth with others. Just before ascending into heaven, Jesus commanded his followers to spread the good news of salvation to the entire world (Matt. 28:19-20).
We urge you to take this step of faith today. To do that, simply talk to god—this is called prayer—and tell him you believe in his son. Please recite the following prayer:
“Dear Father, it is written in your word that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is lord and believe in my heart that you have raised him from the dead, I shall be saved. Therefore, father, i confess that Jesus is my lord. I make him lord of my life right now. I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead. I renounce my past life with Satan and close the door to any of His devices.” I thank you for forgiving me of all my sin. Jesus is my lord, and i am a new creation. Old things have passed away. Now all things become new in Jesus’ name. Amen.
